Subaru’s original Impreza XV failed to stir on buyers in the Chinese market with just a handful being driven off parking lots, but the new concept looks to be a major overhaul of the current bland XV. Geely are prepping a new mini car for their upmarket Emgrand range, the car is a new one on us and we had no idea that Geely had small car ambitions for the Emgrand range, however this car does look quite neat even if it does have various MINI attributes to it. Look out for [...]

The Everus brand was first shown off in Guangzhou Auto Show in December 2010, of course the brand was the most interesting part of the whole event as the first Everus car was clearly just a warmed over last generation Honda City sedan (otherwise known as a Honda Jazz/Fit Saloon) with new badges. Changfeng’s CP2 sedan to get first airing at Shanghai Auto Show
Does anybody remember Changfeng? They were a rustic manufacturer and practically dead partner to Mitsubishi, they turned out the 1991 Mitsubishi Pajero for the People’s Liberation Army and had a half-hearted attempt at making its own SUV line up off the back of the short wheel base Pajero. Guangzhou Auto recognized a bargain on wheels [...]
Haima’s new mini car
Haima’s last new mini car, The Little Prince, was a terrible looking thing that sold in miserable numbers and was actually billed as a ‘QQ Fighter’, but in actual fact it was a major flop. Haima have gone back to the drawing board and have come up with the below concept that we will see [...]
Beijing to become a paradise for electric vehicle sales
I often wondered why Chinese auto makers would push forth with their electric and hybrid concepts at auto shows, its not as if there is a huge market for them in China, from China Car Times own articles you can easily see that sales are rather weak, this article states that only 54 hybrid and [...]

There are more than 60 bus builders in China, but only 7 attended Bus World Asia Show in Shanghai. From March [...]

The long awaited BYD E6 Review
This review was written by Mark Andrews, a well accomplished automotive journalist based in Shanghai China. You can read many of his other reviews on his personal website. For many, electric vehicles evoke memories of milk floats, mobility scooters, or even the ill-fated Sinclair C5. This is changing thanks to companies such as Tesla. Nonetheless, [...]
