Chevrolet Aveo to possibly launch in May

The Chevrolet Aveo had its second airing in the Chinese market at the Shanghai Auto Show last month, the first being at the Guangzhou Auto Show in December 2010. Chevrolet are very eager to continue with the record sales that they achieved in 2010 – over 1 million Chevrolet cars hit the roads in China, for 2011 and 2012 Chevrolet are expanding their product line up to include small cars, high end SUV’s and sports cars.

Chevrolet spokesperson Ms. Ren Jian Qiong was eager to express that between 2012 and 2015 the Chevrolet brand will have a strong line up of vehicles that will match with the majority of car buyers needs. Ms. Ren went onto say “In May or June we will launch a high end sports model, the Aveo, both hatchback and sedan styles. This model has already been shown at the Paris and Detroit Auto Show, the Chinese launch is expected to be in May or or June”.
