New Ford Focus testing in China has Chinese media going crazy
The Ford Focus is an unofficial standard for middle class life in China, if you can afford a compact car from the Blue Oval, you’re not doing too bad financially. The Focus starts at just over 100,000rmb for the base 1.8 manual transmission and is very popular with new car buyers and second car buyers alike, the introduction of a new generation of Focus has gotten Chinese automotive media in a tizzy this week.
The new Focus has been snapped out testing several times this month and body shells were also seen outside of a factory unit, despite the photos exceedingly poor quality they were still good enough to get Chinese auto media excited. The Focus will have its Chinese launch towards the end of the year but actual production within China is not expected to begin until early 2012 according to media reports.
