Mitsubishi Colt seen testing in China again

The Mitsubishi Colt has been sighted out testing more times than we care to remember, the first sighting occurred in 2009 and has been spotted out numerous times since then, it is one of those cars that might possibly make it to China or perhaps the SouEast factory staff just use it for lunch time food runs.

Now it appears that the Colt will be going into production with Guangzhou-Mitsubishi rather than SouEast Mitsubishi, it also appears that the ASX will be going into production with Guangzhou-Mitsubishi rather than SouEast, as indicated in earlier reports. The delay in moving the Colt from testing to production could be due to Mitsubishi being unsatisfied with the SouEast joint venture which has so far been unable to produce a car capable of winning large sales.

Nissan’s introduction of the Livina which has regularly sold over 10,000 units per month has been an inspiration for Mitsubishi’s introduction of the Colt into China.
