The Little Phaeton from Shanghai-VW


SH VW C class car 300x213 The Little Phaeton from Shanghai VWVW are aiming to produce a large C-segment sedan in partnership with Shanghai Auto Industry Corporation in a bid to take on the mid to large sized sedan segment, the goal is to offer something bigger than the current Passat’s on offer in China, but smaller and cheaper than the imported Phaeton. Audi’s A4L and A6L, and also Toyota Crown have dominated this segment for the past few years, these models are cheaper than their German rivals at BMW or Mercedes and offer good value for money.

The Chinese automotive portal, auto.163.com have rendered what they believe the future C-Class VW will look like, according to their information it will be around 5 meters long and have a wheelbase of around 3 meters, they also believe it will be priced in at 300,000rmb, or slightly above the current New Passat and Magotan.
