Audi RS5 for China – spied in a parking lot
The Audi RS5 was on show at the Shanghai Auto Show, and now its out testing ahead of a launch later this year. China has gone through its sedan stages, and is now finally moving into the performance era.
The Audi A5 has been on the market for sometime already, along with an S5 model producing 354bhp from a 4.2L engine, but the RS5 trumps them all with its 4.2L V8 FSI engine producing 450bhp and 440Nm of torque. Pricing for the S5 is just under 1 million RMB, so the RS5 version is expected to be just a little bit more.

Didn’t realize the S5 was so expensive here – I saw a maroon one the other day in a parking garage, nice looking car. Even my wife commented and asked what Audi it was.
They start very cheap, but get soon double in price if you start throwing the nice bits in.
The A5 2.0T starts at around 500k RMB, right? Not exactly cheap but cheap compared to the S5.
