Zotye’s Z300 Compact Sedan
Zotye are a small company with big aspirations, they are readying their small but subtle line up with former Fiat technology but these models appear to be a stop gap segment filler until the real Zotye models arrive on the market. At the Shanghai Auto Show Zotye had a small stand packed with concept cars, interestingly they chose not to show any of their forthcoming models and showed solely concept vehicles – a brave move for the tiny company.
The Z300 seems to be one of the first new models coming out of Zotye, the Z300 has been seen testing and looks to be fairly on par with the concept shown in Shanghai. The Z300 looks to be a compact sedan and will be powered by a 1.5L engine according to early reports.
The production model will likely make it the to Beijing Auto Show in April 2012.

How compact is this? It looks pretty much like a Honda Accord to me.
Largest among the Fiat platforms acquired by Zotye in 2008, was the Lancia Lybra but the 1.5 liter engine suggested here is too small for it.
