Fiat 500′s spotted in China, to launch in September
The Fiat 500 was a central piece of Fiat’s plans for the China market, at the Shanghai Auto Show the 500 was on center stage during the media days, although we were told that Fiat switched the cars out to other models for the public days later on. The 500 has been sighted in China ahead of its launch in September, its not clear at what price range the 500 will come in at, the MINI range starts at around 200,000rmb and the Smart car range starts at 100,000rmb so the 500 might be somewhere between the two, hopefully more towards the Smart pricing.

We drove anyway and even got to open the top for a few minutes. We didn’t stay in the city long. Soon we were headed up the Hudson Valley, driving along twisty roads over fog-shrouded mountains to the tiny town of Rhinecliff.
As I’ve read it lately, 500s for China would be made in Mexico. But more 500s (mostly for Europe) are made in Poland – my country. You can easily check it on FIAT’s VIN – if the first letter is “S” – it’s from Poland.
