Besturn SUV spotted out, has Chinese media excited

Besturn’s first SUV has been spotted out testing and has the Chinese automotive media talking in a big way, the SUV appears to be based fairly closely to the X-Concept SUV that FAW introduced at the Shanghai Auto Show last month and shows that FAW are eager to keep up with emerging trends in the Chinese auto market over the next few months.

A launch time for the SUV has not yet been announced but early to mid 2012 seems like a likely guess, power is to be taken from the Besturn B70 with a 2.0L and 2.4L 4 cylinder engines being made available. The sporty slick design seems to be a first for a Chinese company, local car companies tend to prefer more conservative designs with less radical designs, but it appears that FAW are throwing caution to the wind with this model.
