Part Jeep part Kia Soul, ZhongXing’s future crossover concept
Zhongxing Auto, aka ZX Auto, are now world famous thanks to their trucks being the new modern light cavalry brigade for the Libyan Rebels fighting against Gadaffi, but ZX realize that as the price of gasoline rises sales of chassis based trucks and SUV’s drop in correlation. Therefore ZX Auto are going down the crossover route although it appears that they have taken the best of several models in this leaked rendering (below)
From the front you can see instances of the Jeep Patriot and Commander especially around the solid block of a grill, but the rear and side profiles seem to show Kia Soul overtones.
The new crossover has been codenamed the C11 and will be packing either a Mitsubishi 4G1 or a 4A9 engine. As for an expected launch date we cannot even begin to guess, the most likely candidate is expected to be early 2012 when the car could be at the Beijing Auto Show in either sale ready form or a concept form.

Oddly that front end (specifically the headlights) reminds me of a current gen Mustang.
And man dose it look depressed – I hope they are going reconsider that front end styling. Its not bad, just looks like it needs mood stabilisers.
