Great Wall Motors wows audiences in Sofia
On June 10th Great Wall had its debut in Bulgaria at the Sofia Auto Show where it showed off a range of 9 different products. Great Wall displayed the Haval SUV series, Wingle pickup trucks and Voleex range of sedans. The Haval H5, Voleex C30 and C10 and Wingle 5 were well received by visitors to the Sofia Auto Show, where Great Wall were the sole Chinese manufacturer to attend the show.
The Prime Minister of Bulgaria, the Minister of Communications, the Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria attended the GWM press conference which shows the level of attention that the Bulgarian government has paid to the development of GWM in the Bulgarian marketplace.
Great Wall Motors teamed up with local car company, Litex Motors, to develop a factory in Bulgaria wher e Great Wall vehicles are assembled, the factory is the only car factory in Bulgaria and has thus attracted a great deal of attention from the Bulgarian government at local and national levels. The factory will achieve mass production in September later this year.
