BaoJun 630 launch scheduled for July

Rural buyers are being sighted as the next big growth market as 64% of China’s population live in rural areas and more cities are introducing anti car policies to lower the burdens on packed city roads.

The Baojun 630 was unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show earlier this year where it was strategically placed away from the GM and also SAIC stands to give it that ‘independent brand’ feel. During the Shanghai Auto Show period Baojun’s designers and engineers were on hand to solicit feedback from the crowds regarding the Baojun’s interior and exterior design, apparently Chinese consumers were very eager to point out parts they would like to see changed before the 630 hits production and SGMW have put a few suggestions into the final production version. SGMW are now putting the final touches on the sales structure ahead of the brands launch in July next month, the 630 will certainly be a model to watch especially as the Chinese market begins to cool.
