BAIC’s Saab based T60 spotted out testing in Beijing

Saab maybe stealing the headlines for all the wrong reasons this week but BAIC are working hard on their own Saab based cars, in late 2009 Saab sold the last generation IPR for the Saab 9-3 and 9-5 to BAIC for around 193 million dollars. Since then BAIC has been busy putting its own finishing touches onto the old Saab IPR and are expected to put the first 9-3 based car into production later this year. The T60 was shown at the Shanghai Auto Show earlier this year in a very demure and low key BAIC stand, who clearly did not want to show off their new wares in their rivals back garden and will wait until Beijing Auto Show in 2012 to show their major colors.

The T60 has already been spotted out testing in China and is expected to hit the production lines in the second quarter of 2012.
