Chang’an implementing Hafei changes

Hafei’s management team has gone through a period of turmoil since its merger with Chang’an Group with key members of the team leaving. Sources say that Hafei Group’s deputy managing director Zhang Yanping is has been demoted recently, with his responsibilities beening downgraded from domestic and overseas automobile sales to overseas sales business. Li Zhi, transferred from Chang’an early this year, has taken charge of Hafei’s automobile sales business. By now, Hafei’s management reshuffle is basically complete. Behind the management reshuffle is Chang’an Auto Group’s injection of talent into Hafei.

To revive Hafei is a major problem for Chang’an. According to the plan of Chang’an, Hafei will change its logo and continue operating independently. Hafei’s new logo will be released in August or September.

Reviving Hafei is also a problem for Coda of America since it relies on them as a source of the Saibao III bodies.

The Hafei revival maybe along sooner than you expect, they are spending 20 million RMB on a major PR campaign in the second half of 2011 and early 2012, however they lack the products to back up the campaign.
