New Suzuki Swift coming to China
If it wasn’t for the ever popular Suzuki Swift, Suzuki may have gone the way of Daihatsu and said sayonara to auto markets outside of Japan a long time ago, the new generation of Swift was introduced into Western markets over a year ago but at the same time the Chinese market Swift got a minor facelift with a new bumper and light clusters, however for the 2012 Chang’an-Suzuki are finally planning on making the new Swift in China.
The Swift first launched in China in 2006 and proved to be a popular model, it was updated over the years with new color ranges and an improved 1.5L engine in late 2009, however Chang’an-Suzuki have finally moved to put the new Swift into local production. An eventual launch date has not yet been announced, nor have any engines, but we will keep readers up to date with Suzuki’s local production.

What happened to the turbo model? It will be in the new swift?
Will the JV continue producing the older Swift alongside the new one?
Unlikely in this case – but who knows?
Are they still bringing out the turbo model soon? I read somewhere else it was suppose to be in June?
