Chinese made Audi A6L to launch in early 2012
The Chinese business and civil service communities were obviously exited yesterday when news of the new Audi A6L being launched in China was aired. The A6L is a staple of government departments and business users across China where it is often used as a chauffeured vehicle, with extra room in the back for business users, in recent years BMW and Mercedes have also tried to crack this market but Audi has remained on top. The latest generation of A6 will use a full aluminum body, the first time that the material has been used outside of the Audi A8 model which was the first to utilize the material, which will lower the cars weight by 80kg.
The Audi A6 will first be imported to China at the end of this year and then made in China in early 2012.

Any info on whether the new A6L will be available here in any other colour besides black and silver?
Yes – 10 different shades of black, high beams HID lights and fog lights come as standard with no other options for lighting settings, indicator switches have also been removed to save weight as they were never used, but a faster blinking rate has been used for the hazard warning lights for when you’re dangerously weaving through traffic.
