Global Automotive Forum to be held in Chengdu this year
Last year’s Global Automotive Forum was held in Chengdu and was a major success for the organisers and attendees. The forum brought the leaders of the international and Chinese automotive industry, policy makers and local governments together under one roof for a special two day event.
The forum covered various different topics that were affecting the local Chinese automotive industry and also the international automotive, major announcements were made by Chinese CEO and foreign CEO’ alike, policy announcements such as major support for green cars came from government ministers. The 2011 Global Automotive Forum will be held on October 11th and 12th at the Hotel Intercontinental in Chengdu and will once again draw the same high level speakers and guests.
China Car Times attended in 2010, we admit that we were woefully under prepared for the event from a journalistic point of view but the opportunity to rub shoulders and share view points with the highest levels of management from automotive companies was more than worth the 3 hour flight from Shanghai. Ticket prices may seem steep at $1500USD (but early birds that register before July 31st get 20% off) but it is a good investment considering the level of the crowds present. For select media the Global Automotive Forum are offering free flights and accommodation, if you are interested in attending using media credentials then please sign up here.
