Chevrolet Orlando confirmed for China via patent office leak

The Chevrolet Orlando has already launched in European markets earlier this year where it received praise from the automotive media for putting a different spin on an existing concept however the Orlando has yet to make it to China. The Orlando will likely launch in July this year according to media reports, however that does seem too early, an August or even September launch seems more acceptable from a marketing point of view if Chevrolet start a marketing campaign in July.

The below images were leaked from the Chinese patent office as per usual, which lead the Chinese automotive media to speculate which engines the Orlando might be packing when it launches in China. The conservative end might suggest something as low as a 1.6L in 5 seat mode but bigger 2.0L engines for the 7 seat version. As the Orlando will be imported into China, pricing is not expected to be cheap but could well be in the 150,000rmb range.
