Transformers was one of the first foreign cartoons to enter China in the mid 1980’s and subsequently hooked a generation of men on the never ending battles between Decepticons and the Autobots. Of course, Transformers fell from the TV screens in the early 90’s but made it back to the big screen in 2008 when the first Transformers movie launched and once again hooked China’s 80’s generation, but now those men have substantially increased salaries compared to their parents at the time and are willing to splash out on buying Transformers related merchandise.
Chevrolet launched the Camaro in China a few weeks ago just in time for the launch of the third instalment of the Transformers franchise, however it is not cheap at just over 450,000rmb. For several years Chevrolet Cruze drivers have been adding the Bumblebee black hood stripes to their Cruze’s (and other non GM vehicles) to give their cars that muscled look, however for the third Transformers movie Shanghai GM are planning to release the below Transformers special edition Cruze which has some added Autobot-bling.
Power will come from a 1.6T engine that is shared with the Buick Excelle and also available on the regular Cruze and produces 184bhp. The current Turbo Cruze retails for around 160,000rmb so it is not clear how much more this Transformers special edition maybe when it hits the market later this month.

I so would like to win this there ever was a contest. I deserve this more than anyone in the world. I am the the worlds biggest Transformers Fan. U could ask Hasbro that because they r always getting calls and emails on my strict opinions that Transformers should be going. I loved Transformers ever since 1984. I was 4 or 5 then. I dream of owning the original G1 Optimus Prime but still no luck and i am 32 years old. Since Transformers became big its been a nightmare for us average joes who have limited incomes. I so wish i could have Fortress Maximus but he cost way too much. It next to impossible to enjoy this the Transformers Dream if u don’t have much. Though it could be worst. This car would make me feel like a million dollars if i owned it. I have to understand though that the life is extremely hard and my chances of owning any of my dreams r slim because of financial difficulties and not being able to earn a good living. Those who can afford things like this and your dreams r met should thank your lucky stars and consider yourself privileged and blessed by the universe.
this is a cruze…not a Lambo or even Camaro
Kiddy car
This honestly looks like a horrible waste of money. Unless there’s substantial work done to the interior or engine, all it is just paint and few stickers and decal emblems thrown on. The wheels arn’t even a custom edition. They are the stock Cruz wheels with a transformers emblem on the center cap. I’m curious as to the outrageous markup price GM would throw on this package as you could do this yourself for no more then a few hundred dollars. Yet another sad example of why American cars are still retaining their bad names.
This is cool Chevy looks great with BumbleBee of Transformers.
