Jeep Patriot hits the market in China – priced at 230,000rmb and rising

Chrysler are aiming to up their so far mediocre efforts in the Chinese market with the introduction of a series of new vehicles. Chrysler’s Jeep brand has so far performed very well in the Chinese market especially the Wrangler series, but with introduction of the facelift Compass and today’s launch of the Patriot Jeep sales are set to fly this year.

The Patriot’s pricing was announced earlier today and will see six different specifications on offer in the Chinese market, the most basic model being the 2.4L Classic version priced at 238,900rmb and rising to 278,900rmb for the 70th Anniversary model. Only a 2.4L engine is on offer and all models carry AWD as standard.

Chrysler will introduce other models into the Chinese market later this year, the latest 300C is expected to make a splash in late 2011, and the Town and Country could follow soon after.
