Chonqing’s Mondeo based Police Cruisers

Ford CQ Police Dept 300x146 Chonqings Mondeo based Police Cruisers Chonqing is a bad ass place, firstly the town (well, more of a metropolis the size of Portugal) was until recently a big mafia town until some big name District Attorney or the Chinese equivalent, decided to clean the town up. Traffic police are routinely given sub machine guns when on traffic duty and manning drunk driver check points, sometimes they even get crossbows too. Chongqing is also home to Chang’an Ford, the Mondeo is made locally and in a bid to support the local economy the police dept have taken on Ford’s as part of their fleet. Of course over in the US of A the Ford Crown Victoria was one of the most famous police cars of all time until police depts moved onto other vehicles when Ford said production was ending.

Chongqing Police obviously liked the US of law enforcement vehicle with the push bumper up front, when fitted to a ladder based vehicle such as the Crown Vic’ it’s probably quite useful when pushing perps off the road, but we can’t think it will be much use when fitted to the fragile front end of a Ford Mondeo, either way the Police edition Mondeo does look the business:
