The world went Camry crazy a few weeks back when Toyota unveiled the new Camry, most major world markets got a variation of the Camry with America, Japan and of course China each getting their own slightly tweaked version. The above image shows the minor front end changes that the Camry has gone through for each market, we maybe biased here, but the Chinese market one seems to be the best looking one. The buck-toothed American version seems to too Pontiac and the Japanese variant has a hint of blandness about it, the Chinese market version seems to be a best of salaryman+sports styling.
The old Camry wont be disappearing when the new Camry launches on November 9th, instead that will be sold as the Camry Classical. The new Camry will be rocking a 2.5L 180bhp engine and also a 2.0L 144bhp engine, also a hybrid model which is expected to be the same as the Japanese hybrid model will be made in China under the Guangzhou-Toyota joint venture, there is no sign of the 3.0L V6 in this generation of Camry though.
Prices are expected to be from 230,000rmb and rising when launched next month.

The Chinese version is too bland. I was a big fan of the previous generation, it had a premium look for the time (almost Lexus-like). Maybe this one will look better in the flesh.. or maybe not. That strip of chrome in the back really offends me, looks cheap. Also interesting to see that Toyota is jumping on the bandwagon with the hexagonal design theme in the rear.
Personally I’d go for the new Reiz, but you can see a bit of the Reiz’s styling in this new Camry as well.
