January 10th 2012 is the day that the Nissan Bluebird Sylphy comes down the production line at Dongfeng, albeit with a Dongfeng badge instead of a Nissan one. Nissan signed the platform, engines, and transmission (actually, Aisin transmissions) over to Dongfeng for use within their own new Fengshen brand. The A60 was unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show last month (above) and was slightly mocked for being a rebadged Nissan, clearly Dongfeng did not put much thought into putting their own ‘this is mine’ stamp on the Bluebird’s design.

Pricing is expected to be in the 100,000rmb to 140,000rmb when launched, which is somewhat cheaper than the Bluebird’s 130,000 to 170,000rmb.
