Geely’s next generation SC6 – aka the King Kong Saloon spied
Geely are making strong steps in turning their car making business around, the company was founded on the premise of being a low cost car maker but that is fast turning into an economy car maker with a strong product portfolio. Geely’s multi brand product line up was initially lauded as a foolish idea, but the multiple brands from Englon and Emgrand have really pushed the company forward in the past 24 months with strong sales for both brands. Englon has taken the lower road with an economy position, and Emgrand has taken the higher road as an affordable mid level brand.
The SC6 sedan has been shown at auto shows several times before now and has always looked to be an okay car, nothing overly special and nothing overly fancy either, the SC6 has not yet been put into production but it is expected to see the light of day in early 2012. Under the hood a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine will be used, a 6 speed automatic gearbox may also be introduced into the mini sedan.
Geely will launch multiple new models in the first half of 2012, including a new MPV, SUV and small cars.

“..the SC6 has not yet been put into production..”
Or should we say the updated version of the SC-6, introduced in 2006, has not yet been put into production.
