AMG G-Class SUV sighted in China
The AMG G-Class SUV has become a minor cult vehicle, China’s rich and celebrities what want the looks of a rough and ready SUV mixed with luxury and power have been flocking to the box shaped SUV in recent months.
The externals of the 2012/13 G-Class haven’t changed too much aside from the addition of a new scoop, but on the engine front big things have happened. BHP has been increased to 612 horses and torque has been increased to 1000Nm thanks to the 5.4L V8 Twin Turbo under the hood.
With traditional auto markets in Europe and the USA being a little down recently, it comes as no surprise to learn that AMG are targeting wealthier Chinese consumers. The good news is that only 200 of these models are being built, the bad news is that they will be easily over 1 million RMB when launched in the PRC.
