Chery are getting serious about their brand positioning for the Chery brand, of course they have Riich and Reely but they have failed to make a major dent in the market so far, Chery want to make the M16 into a compact sedan that is capable of taking on the likes of Hyundai, Kia and also other Chinese products such as the Roewe 350. The spy pictures indicate that the M16 is based off a stretched Chery A3 platform and will be carrying a 1.6L DVVT engine as well as a 1.3S engine, frankly speaking its likely that this M16 will take over the positioning of the Chery E5 in the future as the E5 itself is based on an older vehicle and not exactly a looker despite its recent overhaul.

Frank entered the automotive industry via his father's instructions. He grew up with cars around him, especially as his father was a major auto restorer, Frank's childhood was spent passing beers, tools and coffee to his father whilst he explained the ins and outs of engines.
