VW to launch Bluemotion cars in China

Several years ago at the Beijing Auto Show, VW had the first big push of its Bluemotion technology although consumers at the time didn’t really take to the Bluemotion concept too well. In overseas markets the Bluemotion idea focus on improving the cars fuel sipping capability and aerodynamics. The Chinese market Bluemotion will focus on stop/start technology and aims to bring down the Golf’s already fuel efficient 6L per 100km to an even greater saving of 4.9L per 100km.

Chinese media are estimating that the Bluemotion Golf will hit the market in the first quarter of 2012 via the FAW-VW joint venture in Changchun.
