Bentley Sells More Cars in China than it does in UK for first time

The 92 year old British luxury car marker, Bentley, posted record sales for 2011 in the Chinese market making China Bentley’s second largest market after the USA.

Super wealthy Chinese consumers bought 1839 Bentley models in 2011 and were just behind wealthy Americans in total sales volume, American consumers bought 2021 Bentley’s. Bentley’s home market in the UK in contrast bought 1031 Bentley’s during 2011 despite the gloomy economic outlook.

Bentley’s total sales for 2011 reached 7003 units worldwide and export volumes reached over 500 million USD in 2011. Going forward in 2012 there is every expectation that Bentley’s China sales figure will be boosted even further in 2012.
