Next Generation Santana has its Pigu Leaked Online
The Santana is practically an automotive celebrity in its own right in the Chinese market, the car kicked open the Chinese car market with a hefty kick to the door in 1984 when it was the first foreign car to be made in China (The Cherokee deserves this title, but the govt classified SUV’s and passenger cars differently back then), the Santana was a steady beast from there on in and a cornerstone of the market, it also kept Shanghai-VW’s sales statistics unreasonably high for a decade or more thanks to mass fleet purchases by taxi companies across China. Now the humble Santana as we know it, the Santana 3000, is going to be given the door at the end of 2012 when the new SantanaNF comes into play. The SantanaNF will make its mark in October this year and will carry 1.4 and 2.0L engines according to our sources.
Like all celebrities preparing for a big event, the SantanaNF has had its rear pics leaked to the internet, giving us the clearest picture to date what the new model will look like, which from this angle seems to be a cut down Passat.
