BMW Sales Increased by 37.6% in 2011


BMW China will be celebrating this week in the final days before the Chinese New Year vacation, the company put forward one of its best years to date with sales increasing by a 37.6% in 2011. The German company has a joint venture with Brilliance automotive where it produces the 3 and 5 series, and will soon introduce the X1 SUV as a locally made products. BMW also import the 1-series, 5-series GT, 7-series and also X series of SUV’s into China as well as the popular MINI range.

BMW sold 217,068 cars in 2011 an increase of 37.7%, whilst the MINI range was boosted to 15,518 units showing an impressive 47.7%. When tallying up the Greater China region, and including the nearby territories of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, combined sales of BMW and MINI vehicles reached over 250,000 units giving a total increase of 37.2% over the previous years.
