Modified MG3 Makes Me Wish I Bought One – Pics (plus dead chicken)

Late last year I test drove an MG3 and found it to be a great little car, a few days later GM tossed me the keys to a new Chevrolet Aveo (Sonic elsewhere) and put the review up on China Car Times, a few days later I received several emails asking which was best, it was hard to decide. On one hand you have the MG3 with a century of motorsports behind it, it handles great, it goes pretty damned fast but the AMT gearbox was a little ‘off’ the Aveo on the other hand handled great, had a great gearbox but felt like a consumer product, the MG3 felt like it had heritage. I still cant decide which is the best, I should buy them both and drive them on alternate days, although I have no need for a small car, instead I browse MG3 forums and see how owners are modifying their own. Yesterday, I came across this particular model:

The owner has installed the sports bodykit which has been shown off at a few auto shows already and also upgraded the seats with some fairly good looking covers. The rear end has benefited from a new twin exhaust and a cool little spoiler, the unlucky chicken looks like its ready to get its neck pulled at this point.
