Stretched Infiniti M series to launch in April

Infiniti M

The Beijing Auto Show is being set as the stage for the stretched Infiniti M Class, which has gained an extra 150mm for the Chinese market. Infiniti follows BMW, Mercedes, and Audi in introducing stretched models into the Chinese market, the demand for stretched versions with extra space for rear passengers emerged over a decade ago, Audi were quick to dominate the market with their Audi A6L but other manufacturers quickly followed suit. Business and Government car owners often have their own drivers to take them around town, so extra leg room is required in the rear.

Whether or not Infiniti can crack the lucrative business market is another matter, Infiniti are more famed for their sports SUV’s in China rather than their anonymous business level sedans. Will the Infiniti M unseat the Audi A6L? Probably not in a hurry.
