PSA’s partnership with Mitsubishi to produce their own versions of the Mitsubishi ASX crossover may have been the best deal the French company has pulled off. Chinese consumers are hot for SUV’s, the segment grew by 30% last month and seems to show no signs of abating as of yet, with more SUV’s than ever before it seems that Chinese consumers are spoiled for choice. The Peugeot 4008 and Citroen C4 Crossair will have their official launch at the Beijing Auto Show next week, Chinese media are already guessing that the cars will start at 190,000RMB and rise to the 250,000RMB segment.
The Mitsubishi ASX has had slender sales so far, but the added Europeanization of the ASX into Citroen and Peugeot form is likely to keep the ASX factory in business for quite a bit longer.

European styling + Japanese quality = win?
