The Kia K3 has only just been launched in China earlier this month at the Chengdu Auto Show but the Dongfeng-Kia joint venture are now eager to introduce a new vehicle between the K3 and the much larger K5.

The K4 is expected to share a platform with the Hyundai Veloster and have a similar powertrain. The new car is supposed to be a compact sedan that is able to compete with models such as the Roewe 550, Nissan Sylphy, VW Sagitar etc, its not due until 2014 at the earliest but as with all Kia cars, we’re sure it will be a handsome model regardless.
