Sighted in China: Baby Blue Porsche

Share Our Knowledge With Your Friends, Contacts And Co-Workers

caymenblue 768x1024 Sighted in China: Baby Blue PorscheDue to Tycho having a fit over the Spotted in China moniker, we had to change it to Sighted in China. We want to keep everything harmonious between our respective organizations, even if he is a massive…. anyway! (We jest, we enjoy his work!) Porsche could put their brand on anything and it will sell by the container load: SUV’s, Four Door Sports Tourers, Luggage, Pants, Jeans, Odd Belts (yes, they have plenty of Porsche Designs stores in China) but stick it on a low down roadster and you’re going to have a hard time selling it. Chinese roads outside of Shanghai and Beijing are a bumpy lot, especially in those cities where subway construction is happening. Convertibles sell even less, who wants to drop the top of a Boxster or a 911 in Shanghai or Beijing? You would have black pollution smears around your nostrils before you exit the Yan’an Tunnel.

That being said, Porsche do sell a fair few sports cars each year, and as the models that are on the road gain in age people are happy to start making them individual. Take for example this fantastic baby blue Cayenne, rocking black wheels and a baby blue paint job the owner is going to stand out a fair bit, and that’s exactly what/he she wants when he/she has spent somewhere between 850,000 and 1.14 million RMB on the car.

there seems to be a typo, the Porsche looks more like a Cayman than a Cayenne…

That color is hot! Reminds of the old E46 M3 blue.

It would be nicer if you did not publish the number plates with the car.
Suggest fuzz those out. Its the decent thing to do..
