Ford China Sales Increase 48% in October

Ford has had its second record month according to figures released by Ford Shanghai. The Ford Focus range continues to be the driving force behind the companies new found sales record of 60,518 vehicles, up 48% in year on year comparisons, increasing sales by 14% this year.

Focus sales continue to break records for Ford, with 33,614 wholesale units sold in October and more than 221,000 wholesale units sold year to date.

In spite of a contracting commercial vehicle market, sales at Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC), Ford’s commercial vehicle investment in China surged 14 percent in October, with 16,029 wholesale vehicles sold in October compared to 14,006 sold the same time last year.
