JMC’s Qu Sheng SUV Ready To Roll Down Hill

JMC’s shot back into the car making game with the addition of the Qu Sheng SUV range late last year, a pick up truck version was also expected to follow but the truck hasn’t yet surfaced.

The Qu Sheng could be cast aside as just another low cost Chinese SUV, but under that sheet metal are some interesting surprises. JMC are a partner to Ford and partly owned by Ford which sees the two work quite closely together on some Chinese projects such as building the Ford Transit in China and buying heavy  truck manufacturers, JMC are also likely to build some other Ford SUV’s and commercial vehicles in the next few months. The Qu Sheng carries Ford’s Duratorq Diesel engine range which was used in a multitude of different Ford vehicles and always gained high praise from owners and testing media.

This heavily modified Qu Sheng looks ready for some heavy lifting work.

Looks a lot like a JMC-Chang’an Landwind Yu Sheng with a lift kit.

The bodyshell actually looks great. I’m not convinced about the execution of the lift kit.
