City level auto shows have a tough time in boosting their visitor numbers, of course cars maybe a hot topic in China but auto shows seem to have been done to death. At the local level like Guiyang, auto shows are operated and run by the local dealerships, so how can you get national level coverage in competition with Shanghai and Beijing? You can try the old and tested method of getting some good looking girls on stage, but eventually that doesn’t cut the mustard, you can up the ante and move onto some breast painting, but that method will get you grilled by the relevant Ministries and Propaganda depts, plus every other large scale forum has started doing the bare breast thing, sometimes mixing it in with breast painting too.
