Facelift Nissan Livina to Launch in March 2013

Dongfeng-Nissan’s Livina has been a stalwart of the brand with it continually bringing in strong sales month after month. The Livina is basically a lower priced version of the Nissan Note that is found in Western Europe, the Livina comes with 1.6L and 1.8L petrol engines and also a larger 7 seat configuration in the form of the Livina Genesis. Earlier this year Nissan announced a replacement for the Note, but it seems that developing markets such as China wont be seeing it just yet, instead the new Note face is to be grafted onto the current Livina whilst it soldiers on for a few more years in regular and crossover guise. Under the hood the same 1.6L engine remains but the 4 speed gearbox has been dumped in favor of a more fuel friendly CVT gearbox that is found elsewhere in the Nissan line up.

A launch date of March 2013 has been announced, but wait and see for pricing changes.

I drive mine every now and again. Small but spacious, very cheap to run, requires nearly no maintenance, and if it does everything is cheap. Probably better quality than the Qashqai that cost three times as much.

Have to agree with you. Recently drove one from Shanghai to Qingdao and back. Amazingly good, handled very well, fast, comfortable and economical. Having owned a Cashcow once, concede that it is better in many ways including being cheaper and yes quality wise hard to fault. Still cant believe the cars I overtook and speed maintained.

Seats are uncomfortable for my frame, which is why I hardly touch it, also my left knee is always in contact with the dashboard. My only regret is not buying the larger 7 seater for pulling more stuff around town!

Im not 6’2 but I find the seats to be unsupportive for longer journeys, fine for around town. I once drove it filled with a living room full of crap 750km from Suzhou to Qingdao. It was practically riding on its rims, but it still sipped gas all the way.
