Ford’s Kuga SUV is Unofficially Priced From 198,9000RMB for 1.6T

Ford_KugaFord’s Kuga SUV will be the car that finally puts Ford on the map this year if these prices are to be believed. Chinese media are leaking the prices of the 1.6T and 2.0T gasoline models ahead of the official launch which is due later this month on the 24th in Xiamen.

The Kuga starts at 199,800RMB for the base model 1.6T FWD model and rises to 284,800RMB for the top of the range 2.0T SUV spread over six models that encompass automatic/manual and also FWD/AWD layouts.

Chinese press are pitting the Kuga against the popular, but considerably smaller VW Tiguan in the sales stakes. The Tiguan is sold in a similar price category but also includes the base model 1.4T, 1.6T and 2.0T models.

The pricing is correct and on Ford’s website:

There are specs for each trim level, but I can’t find detailed pricing info. Regardless, the Kuga is likely to be my next car purchase.

The more I read about it, the more I like it. Toss up between the X1 and the Kuga now. I think the Kuga is launched in the next couple of days.
