Guangzhou Auto’s New GA3 Sedan Testing

Guangzhou have learned a lot from working with the best in the auto business, they do after all call Toyota, Honda, and now Fiat (and Jeep) partners in making cars for the Chinese market. With the Alfa 166 platform under their belt they have quickly developed a strong brand identity after their launch in late 2011. Sales have been relatively slow since the launch of the first GA5 Sedan, but as more cars get out onto the roads sales are slowly going up, the latest SUV seems to be a popular model.

The next model from Guangzhou is this perfectly designed GA3 sedan., the GA3 probably sits on top of the Alfa 166 platform as well as its larger GA5 brother which should make for some interesting driving dynamics. We can’t see much of the exterior but the interior looks well crafted and fairly advanced in the design progress which means full production is not far away, we’ve heard that July has been set aside for a production launch.

Chinese media reports indicate the GA3 will come with a 1.6 naturally aspirated engine, but we can hope that the larger 1.8T used in the SUV and the larger GA5.
