When JMC’s Qu Sheng SUV first launched it looked a little rough around the edges especially on the interior, JMC initially launched the vehicle with the option of 5 or 7 seats with 2.4L gasoline or 2.5T diesel engines mated to a 5 speed manual only. The next model will include a 2.0T gasoline from Ford’s Ecoboost range and an automatic gearbox (we’re not sure where this came from, yet), the automatic version seems to have had a major overhaul on the inside giving an interior which might actually compete with international brands.
The Qu Sheng was priced high, but for the size and power it doesn’t seem to be gaining many sales. The introduction of an automatic gasoline version might ramp up sales over the course of 2013. With the option of 5 and 7 seats as well as Ford engines, perhaps the Qu Sheng could be thought of as the thinking mans Explorer ahead of the Ford Explorer being imported into China and eventually produced by JMC.

Is this a full frame vehicle? At Guangzhou it appeared so.
Yes Sir. Full frame. Last of its kind!
