The Hong Qi L7 is the civilian version of the state limosiune used by the previous President Hu Jintao on his reading of the troops in October 2010. FAW promised that a civilian version would soon be made available, and some three years later it seems that FAW are finally getting there in developing the model for potential buyers across China. The L7 was on show at last years Beijing Auto Show and aimed to showcase the possibilities of 21st Century Chinese luxury products, right down to the tyres. In these spy shots of the pre-production L7 model we can see that the concepts main goals are still within reach, the interior looks to be quite high end but ultimately the L7 will have to live up to a touch test before it can be compared to the likes of Bentley and Rolls Royce which is what FAW would like you to compare the V12 powered beast too.
