Shanghai GM launched their all new Buick Lacrosse in the Chinese market earlier this week ahead of a US market launch. Buick’s latest Lacrosse is likely to follow in the footsteps of the last model in becoming a leader in the Chinese market, whilst not as popular as the all conquering VW Passat, the Buick Lacrosse held its own and offered size and power that was largely unrivaled.
The refined Lacrosse was aired at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show for the first time where the new design language was introduced, the giant kidney shaped grill was well received. Power plants remain the same with some upgrades, the 2.0L Turbo SIDI has been given a power boost to 187Kw of and offers 350Nm of power, the 3.0L V6 and 2.4L are carried over from the last models.
Pricing starts at 235,000RMB for the base 2.4L and rises to 369,000RMB for the top of the line 3.0L V6.
