China’s Green Incentives Revealed, Upto 60,000RMB/10,000USD for EV Buyers

The Chinese Government announced its second round of incentives for green vehicles late yesterday where buyers of electric cars can receive up to 60,000RMB in subsidies for their new vehicles whilst buyers of gasoline-electric hybrids will receive subsidies of up to 35,000RMB according to China’s Finance Ministry. The new subsides will be put into action straight away and will reduce by 10% in 2014 and 20% in 2015.

This round of subsidies is slightly lower than the last round of incentives which expired at the end of 2012. That program offered a maximum of 60,000RMB for EV’s and 50,000RMB for hybrid vehicles but despite the generous offerings only 11,375 ‘New Energy Vehicles’ were bought in 2012 of which the majority were commercial vehicles such as city buses and taxi fleets.

SIMPLE ANALYSIS OF FACTS:- IF THE SOURCES OF POWER ARE NOT GENERATED FROM NON-RENEWABLE FOSSIL FUELS’ COMBUSTIONS (COAL, GASOLINE, DIESEL OR NATURAL GAS) BUT FROM NON-POLLUTING AND CLEAN LIKE SOLAR OR WIND OR HYDRO OR WAVES OR FUELLESS PERMANENT MAGNETIC FORCES’ POWER PROPULSION GENERATED, THEN THE RESULTANT USE OF POWER IN ELECTRIC VEHICLES WOULD BE CONSIDERED 100% CLEAN AND NON-POLLUTING AND THEN THE POWER GENERATED FROM THESE SOURCES CAN MITIGATE THE GLOBAL WARMING WEATHER-CHANGE DISASTERS, FOGS AND HAZE ETC. RESULTING IN THE LEAST CARBON FOOTPRINTS IN THE RELEASE OF GREEN-HOUSE GASES THAT CAUSE GLOBAL WARMING AND THE RESULTANT WEATHER-CHANGE DISASTERS. SO FOR CHINA, THE ONLY WAY GOING FORWARD IS TO MAKE AND ENCOURAGE LARGE SCALE INVESTMENTS, DEVELOPMENTS AND CONSTRUCTIONS OF ADVANCED VIABLE NON-POLLUTING POWER GENERATION AND STORAGE AND USE OF FULLY 100% NON-POLLUTING ELECTRIC VEHICLES TO GO GREEN AND CLEAN IN FUTURE TO REDUCE POLLUTIONS AND MITIGATE WEATHER-CHANGE DISASTERS. THE CHINA GOVERNMENT APART FROM OFFERING INCENTIVES IN THE MASS PURCHASE AND USAGE OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES SHOULD ALSO MAKE IMMENSELY STRONG DETERMINATIONS AND COMMITMENTS TO INVEST AND IMPROVE THE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE NEW ADVANCED AND POWERFUL HIGH CAPACITY BATTERY TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE MAKING OF FUTURE HIGH QUALITY AND ADVANCED ELECTRIC VEHICLES THAT COULD RIVAL AND BEAT TESLA CARS IN TERMS OF RANGE AND USAGE ON A SINGLE FULL CHARGE.
