In the middle of last month, a horrific earthquake struck China’s Sichuan province, devastating families, land, and peoples lives for ever. Over 50,000 people are reported to have died, and hundreds of thousands have had their homes, schools, workplaces destroyed.
China Car Times and Paul Stowe teamed up to see what we could do to help those affected, and we decided to hold a charity auction. We used some of our automotive contacts to donate some excellent prizes.
The auction is being held on Ebay, so anyone can bid!
Our prizes are as follows:
MG Factory Tour and Drive - MG UK kindly donated a tour of the British MG factory, Longbridge, and they also threw in a test drive of the new MGTF LE500 - a model that hasnt yet been launched in Europe! Be the first by bidding!
London Taxi Factory Tour and Drive - LTI have offered to show a lucky winner around the LTI factory, a factory which has been producing the iconic, the infamous, the legendry black taxi cab!
Lotus Factory Tour and Drive - The British engineering and sports car company, Lotus, have kindly donated a tour of their British factory plus a test drive day of their vehicles, fancy driving a Lotus Elise around like a mad man? You should stick a bid in!
Lifan Model Cars - These diecast model cars of the popular Lifan 520, and recently launched i520 hatchback are up for grabs. They are very realistic, almost like the real car but a lot smaller and lack an engine, but the doors open and the suspension works! If you’re into collecting diecast cars or are an industry buff then perhaps these are for you!
CCT Advertising - CCT has donated one months free advertising towards the cause, if you want your advert on top of CCT, where it will receive more than a million page views per month, then get bidding!
Remember, the auction is all for a good cause, and all funds will be donated to the Chinese Red Cross who are busy helping those affected by the earthquake.
